President
Thomas D. LeGalley, M.D., F.A.C.C.

Originally from Bowling Green, Ohio, Dr. LeGalley received his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine. He founded Upper Michigan Cardiovascular Associates, formerly called Cardiology Associates of the Upper Peninsula, P.C., in 1977 and still serves as the group’s president. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology and specializes in Interventional Cardiology. Dr. LeGalley has held numerous leadership positions which include Past President of the Upper Peninsula Medical Center, Chief of Staff at Marquette General Hospital, and Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. He is also on staff at numerous U.P. hospitals.

Immediate Past President
Stephen P. Vander Roest, M.D.

Dr. Vander Roest is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and practices with Emergency Medicine Associates of Marquette. He received his undergraduate degree from Hope College, Holland, MI, and his medical degree from Wayne State School of Medicine, Detroit, MI. He is on staff at Marquette General Hospital and Iron County Community Hospitals, Inc.

Treasurer
David Luoma, M.D.

Dr. Luoma is board certified in family practice and geriatrics. He received his undergraduate degree from Michigan Technological University and his medical degree from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor Medical School.

Senior Delegate
Carl Hammerstrom, M.D.

Dr. Hammerstrom is board certified in internal medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College; attended medical school at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland; and completed his internship and residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

Delegate
John English, M.D.

Dr. English is board certified in internal medicine. He received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and also his M.D. He interned at Madison General Hospital in Madison and completed his residency in internal medicine at Beckley Memorial Hospital in Beckley, West Virginia.

Executive Director
Mary E. Tavernini

Ms. Tavernini is the owner and general manager of M. Tavernini & Associates, "At Your Service!" a Marquette-based, full-service marketing and advertising agency.
